A full black CS2 loadout costs $42.12. That buys 30 skins, enough to cover every gun you actually buy on the CT and T side, and almost all of them are black, grey or gunmetal. This is the companion to our YouTube video, with every pick, price and market link in one place.

The prices in the video were the Steam Market prices on the day we recorded it, and together they came to $52.24. Skin prices change every week, so the prices on this page are the lowest Steam Market listings on 1 November 2026, when the same 30 skins cost $42.12.

TL;DR

  • Total: $42.12 for 30 skins, Steam Market prices on 1 November 2026
  • AK-47 Slate ($4.94) is the best value pick, matte black end to end
  • M4A1-S Basilisk ($8.94) is the biggest single cost
  • AWP Black Nile ($3.19) is the only properly black AWP at this budget
  • No knife or gloves, the cheapest ones cost $35 to $46 by themselves

Not every color in this set is pure black. The FAMAS Sergeant, PP-Bizon Harvester and Sawed-Off Runoff are the three picks that bend the theme the most, and we say so below each of them. The Bizon and the Sawed-Off are guns most players rarely buy, so a cheap skin there costs you little. The FAMAS is different, you buy it on a lot of CT force buys, so that is the first slot we would change.

Rifles

The rifles take almost half the budget. The M4A1-S and the AK-47 alone cost $13.88, and everything else in this section costs less than four dollars. Subtotal $19.04.

AK-47 | Slate (Field-Tested), $4.94

AK-47 Slate in Field-Tested, $4.94, skin card from the best black CS2 loadout under $50

The only gun in the set that is black from the muzzle to the stock with nothing else on it. The finish is matte, with a faint carbon texture on the magazine, so it does not shine under bright map lighting. If you buy one skin from this list, make it this one. T side.

M4A1-S | Basilisk (Field-Tested), $8.94

M4A1-S Basilisk in Field-Tested, $8.94, skin card from the best black CS2 loadout under $50

The biggest single cost in the loadout, about a fifth of the total on its own. Dark gunmetal body with a basilisk engraved in silver on the receiver. Minimal Wear costs about $2.35 more, see the upgrade table further down. CT side.

M4A4 | Dark Operative (Minimal Wear), $1.47

M4A4 Dark Operative in Minimal Wear, $1.47, skin card from the best black CS2 loadout under $50

For players who run the M4A4 instead of the silenced rifle. Almost fully black, with small white print markings on the receiver and stock. At $1.47 it is the cheapest way to keep the CT rifle slot dark. CT side.

FAMAS | Sergeant (Field-Tested), $3.39

FAMAS Sergeant in Field-Tested, $3.39, skin card from the best black CS2 loadout under $50

The least black skin in the rifle slots. The stock and grip are black, but the top is tan and olive, and there are sergeant stripes on the magazine. If you want a stricter black set, this is the first slot we would change. CT side.

Galil AR | Grey Smoke (Factory New), $0.04

Galil AR Grey Smoke in Factory New, $0.04, skin card from the best black CS2 loadout under $50

Four cents. A grey and dusty lilac smoke pattern over a black stock. T side.

AUG | Steel Sentinel (Minimal Wear), $0.12

AUG Steel Sentinel in Minimal Wear, $0.12, skin card from the best black CS2 loadout under $50

Light grey steel panels, one of the lighter guns in the set. It reads as metal rather than black, which suits the AUG’s bulky shape. CT side.

SG 553 | Damascus Steel (Field-Tested), $0.14

SG 553 Damascus Steel in Field-Tested, $0.14, skin card from the best black CS2 loadout under $50

A dark folded-steel pattern over the whole body. Few people buy an SG skin, so fourteen cents gets you a clean one. T side.

Pistols

The USP-S is the expensive one here. The other six pistols together cost less than the USP-S. Subtotal $11.72.

USP-S | Stainless (Field-Tested), $7.60

USP-S Stainless in Field-Tested, $7.60, skin card from the best black CS2 loadout under $50

Black frame and grip with a polished silver slide. It is the second most expensive skin in the set, and you hold it every CT pistol round. CT side.

Glock-18 | Catacombs (Minimal Wear), $1.40

Glock-18 Catacombs in Minimal Wear, $1.40, skin card from the best black CS2 loadout under $50

Rows of grey skulls along the slide on a plain black frame. The skulls only cover the slide, so from a distance it reads as a dark grey pistol. T side.

Desert Eagle | Meteorite (Factory New), $1.40

Desert Eagle Meteorite in Factory New, $1.40, skin card from the best black CS2 loadout under $50

Black with thin gold fracture lines and a gold hammer. The gold is the only warm color among the pistols, and it is subtle enough to keep the set dark. CT and T.

P250 | Metallic DDPAT (Factory New), $0.11

P250 Metallic DDPAT in Factory New, $0.11, skin card from the best black CS2 loadout under $50

Grey, white and black digital camo with a metallic sheen. Eleven cents for a Factory New copy. CT and T.

Five-SeveN | Silver Quartz (Minimal Wear), $0.23

Five-SeveN Silver Quartz in Minimal Wear, $0.23, skin card from the best black CS2 loadout under $50

A dark slide with silver crystal lines running across it, on a plain black frame and grip. CT side.

Tec-9 | Jambiya (Field-Tested), $0.83

Tec-9 Jambiya in Field-Tested, $0.83, skin card from the best black CS2 loadout under $50

A dark body with cream scrollwork on the grip and magazine. Busier than the other pistols, but the base color stays dark. T side.

Dual Berettas | Stained (Minimal Wear), $0.15

Dual Berettas Stained in Minimal Wear, $0.15, skin card from the best black CS2 loadout under $50

Blue-grey stained steel on both pistols. More grey than black, which matters little on a pistol most players only buy on a force buy. CT and T.

SMGs

No SMG in this set costs more than $0.78, so this is where the theme bends a little to keep the total down. Subtotal $3.21.

MP9 | Dart (Field-Tested), $0.66

MP9 Dart in Field-Tested, $0.66, skin card from the best black CS2 loadout under $50

Dark grey with arrow chevrons along the top of the receiver. Simple and quiet for a CT SMG. CT side.

MAC-10 | Whitefish (Minimal Wear), $0.49

MAC-10 Whitefish in Minimal Wear, $0.49, skin card from the best black CS2 loadout under $50

Grey with white line art on the magazine and body. Lighter than most of the set, so it leans more grey than black. T side.

MP7 | Armor Core (Field-Tested), $0.30

MP7 Armor Core in Field-Tested, $0.30, skin card from the best black CS2 loadout under $50

Black and metallic grey panels with slash marks across the receiver. One of the better fits for the theme in the SMG slots. CT and T.

MP5-SD | Focus (Minimal Wear), $0.25

MP5-SD Focus in Minimal Wear, $0.25, skin card from the best black CS2 loadout under $50

A dark navy body with a thin red line along the receiver and suppressor. If you run the MP5-SD instead of the MP7, this keeps the slot dark. CT and T.

UMP-45 | Carbon Fiber (Factory New), $0.13

UMP-45 Carbon Fiber in Factory New, $0.13, skin card from the best black CS2 loadout under $50

A carbon fiber weave over the whole gun. Thirteen cents, and it looks the same as the one on the SCAR-20. CT and T.

P90 | Elite Build (Field-Tested), $0.60

P90 Elite Build in Field-Tested, $0.60, skin card from the best black CS2 loadout under $50

Dark grey and black panels with a small orange badge on the side. Sixty cents for one of the most bought SMGs in the game. CT and T.

PP-Bizon | Harvester (Field-Tested), $0.78

PP-Bizon Harvester in Field-Tested, $0.78, skin card from the best black CS2 loadout under $50

Olive and bronze, not black. It is in for the price and the mechanical detail. If the Bizon is a gun you actually buy, this is a slot to change. CT and T.

Snipers

The AWP and the SSG 08 take almost all of this section’s money. The two autosnipers cost $0.54 together. Subtotal $6.52.

AWP | Black Nile (Field-Tested), $3.19

AWP Black Nile in Field-Tested, $3.19, skin card from the best black CS2 loadout under $50

Black with thin contour lines across the body and stock. One of the bigger costs in the set, and the only AWP we would call black at this price. CT and T.

SSG 08 | Carbon Fiber (Factory New), $2.79

SSG 08 Carbon Fiber in Factory New, $2.79, skin card from the best black CS2 loadout under $50

The same carbon fiber weave as the UMP-45 and SCAR-20, so three guns in the set share one finish. At $2.79 it is one of the pricier picks in the set, and it completes the Carbon Fiber trio. CT and T.

SCAR-20 | Carbon Fiber (Factory New), $0.12

SCAR-20 Carbon Fiber in Factory New, $0.12, skin card from the best black CS2 loadout under $50

Carbon fiber again, matching the UMP-45 and the SSG 08. Twelve cents for the CT autosniper. CT side.

G3SG1 | Ventilator (Field-Tested), $0.42

G3SG1 Ventilator in Field-Tested, $0.42, skin card from the best black CS2 loadout under $50

Black and silver with small yellow details. The T autosniper, which most players never buy, so forty-two cents is enough. T side.

Shotguns and Machine Guns

Shotguns and machine guns are the cheapest part of the loadout, five skins for $1.63. They are also where the black theme is weakest. Subtotal $1.63.

Nova | Caged Steel (Minimal Wear), $0.10

Nova Caged Steel in Minimal Wear, $0.10, skin card from the best black CS2 loadout under $50

A dark body with a hexagon cage pattern on the stock. Ten cents. CT and T.

XM1014 | Quicksilver (Field-Tested), $0.78

XM1014 Quicksilver in Field-Tested, $0.78, skin card from the best black CS2 loadout under $50

Dark grey with a blue and silver streak along the side. CT and T.

Sawed-Off | Runoff (Factory New), $0.06

Sawed-Off Runoff in Factory New, $0.06, skin card from the best black CS2 loadout under $50

Orange wood and grey purple metal. This one does not fit the theme at all. It is in because it costs six cents, and the Sawed-Off is a gun most players never buy. T side.

MAG-7 | SWAG-7 (Field-Tested), $0.55

MAG-7 SWAG-7 in Field-Tested, $0.55, skin card from the best black CS2 loadout under $50

Black with white graffiti lettering. Black and white is still a black loadout, and this is one of the more fun skins in the set. CT side.

Negev | Ultralight (Minimal Wear), $0.14

Negev Ultralight in Minimal Wear, $0.14, skin card from the best black CS2 loadout under $50

Grey with lime chevrons on the side. Lighter than the rest, on a gun most players only buy on eco rounds. CT and T.

Knife and Gloves

Neither fits in fifty dollars. On 1 November 2026 the cheapest dark knife on the Steam Market was a Battle-Scarred Navaja Knife Night Stripe at $45.70, and the cheapest gloves of any color were the Driver Gloves Racing Green in Battle-Scarred at $35.37. Either one is most of the budget, and a black pair of gloves costs more than twice the whole loadout.

Knives and gloves come in the higher tiers of this series. If you only care about the knife, the honest route is to buy the cheap guns from this list first and save up for the knife separately.

Where to Spend More

If you have a few dollars more to spend, these are the upgrades that change the most on screen. We checked the prices on the Steam Market on 1 November 2026.

SkinIn this loadoutUpgradePrice
AK-47 SlateField-Tested, $4.94Minimal Wear$7.30
AWP Black NileField-Tested, $3.19Minimal Wear$5.32
M4A1-S BasiliskField-Tested, $8.94Minimal Wear$11.29
USP-S StainlessField-Tested, $7.60Minimal Wear$13.94
AK-47 SlateField-Tested, $4.94Factory New$16.68

The AK, AWP and M4A1-S upgrades each cost a little over two dollars, and you see those guns every round. With all three the loadout is still under fifty. The USP-S jump of more than six dollars is the one we would skip on a tight budget. Third-party marketplaces are often cheaper than Steam for all of these, see our CS2 marketplace overview.

Float Tips

Float is the number behind the wear name, from 0.00 (clean) to 1.00 (worn). A few skins in this loadout have a capped float range, so the cheapest listing still looks clean.

  • Desert Eagle Meteorite, 0.00 to 0.18. Even a Field-Tested copy sits at the clean end of the scale.
  • P250 Metallic DDPAT, 0.00 to 0.08. Factory New or a very clean Minimal Wear, nothing else.
  • UMP-45, SCAR-20 and SSG 08 Carbon Fiber, 0.00 to 0.12. Same story.
  • Nova Caged Steel, 0.00 to 0.20. The worst copy is barely Field-Tested.
  • FAMAS Sergeant starts at 0.10, so there is no Factory New version. Minimal Wear is as clean as it gets.

For the Field-Tested picks, look for a float close to 0.15. A low Field-Tested AK-47 Slate or AWP Black Nile looks almost like Minimal Wear and often costs the same as any other Field-Tested copy. Steam does not show the float in the listing, so check it in a float checker or on a marketplace that shows it.

FAQ

How much does a full black CS2 loadout cost?

Ours costs $42.12 for 30 skins that cover the CT and T side, at the lowest Steam Market prices on 1 November 2026. When we recorded the video the same skins came to $52.24, so expect the total to move a few dollars either way.

What is the best cheap black AK-47 skin in CS2?

The AK-47 Slate. It is matte black from end to end with no colored details, and on 1 November 2026 a Field-Tested copy cost {money(PR['AK-47'])} on the Steam Market. Minimal Wear listed at $7.30 the same day.

Can you get a black knife for under $50 in CS2?

Only if you spend the whole budget on it. The cheapest dark knife we found was a Battle-Scarred Navaja Knife Night Stripe at $45.70 on the Steam Market on 1 November 2026. That leaves nothing for the guns.

What are the cheapest gloves in CS2?

On 1 November 2026 the cheapest pair on the Steam Market was the Driver Gloves Racing Green in Battle-Scarred at $35.37, and those are green. The cheapest black pair we checked, Driver Gloves Black Tie in Battle-Scarred, was around $96.

Which skins in this loadout always look clean?

The Desert Eagle Meteorite, P250 Metallic DDPAT, Nova Caged Steel and the three Carbon Fiber skins on the UMP-45, SCAR-20 and SSG 08. Their float range stops at 0.20 or lower, so even the cheapest listing has little to no visible wear.

Is it cheaper to buy CS2 skins outside the Steam Market?

Often, yes. Steam Market prices include Valve's fees, and third-party marketplaces list many skins for less. The catch is that you cannot spend Steam Wallet money there, and you need a trustworthy site. Our marketplace reviews cover which ones we tested.

Does this loadout cover both CT and T?

Yes. Rifles, pistols and SMGs that are side-specific have a pick for each side, and the shared guns like the AWP, Desert Eagle and P90 have one skin that works on both. The M249 and Zeus x27 are not included.

Prices for the CS2 skins in this loadout change every week. If you want to see what other players are running or ask about a pick before you buy, join 25,000+ players in our skins Discord.
